Artist Statement CV Press Release

Charlotte Schmid-Maybach is a photographer and mixed media artist based in Los Angeles. Originally from San Francisco, CA, she earned her BA from UC Berkeley and MA in photojournalism from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Her background as an archaeological photographer in Pakistan and years as a newspaper photojournalist have informed her artwork. Maybach started at artist Tom Wudl’s studio in 2016 and has since fully committed to being a working artist. She has recently exhibited her work at the Neutra Institute Museum and Gallery in Silverlake, CA in 2017; the Peter and Susan Barrett Gallery in Santa Monica, CA in 2018; and at The Colburn School of Music in Los Angeles, CA as of 2019.
